"Come Together" by The Sisters of Mercy (from the album ???)
============================================================

transcribed by Todd Eigenschink (eigenstr@CS.Rose-Hulman.Edu)

Bass intro:

E|-7---------7-8---8-7----0-------

The guitar playing the chords is playing B and E (I IV), hitting the
chord on beats 1 and 3, and then playing it muted on the & 2 & and the
& 4 &. This rhythm is used throughout the song. And one guitar is
playing chords the whole time, except for the section with the
harmonics.

The next (I'll call it pseudo-lead) guitar part:

B|-0--------7---------0--7--8--\5---- twice

Chords only for first verse

The pre-chorus guitar part:

B|-10---------10-12-13-12-----\5-------------10---------------13--12------

(right before the chorus starts, launch into some extremely
 heavy vibrato on the B)

The chords in the chorus are F# and E (V IV), played with the 1-3 rhythm.

Next play that pseudo-lead part twice

Then the pre-chorus part

Then the chorus

Then one guitar does the natural harmonics version of the pseudo-lead:

nh nh nh nh nh nh
E|-----------------------------12---
B|-12-------7---------12-7---------- twice
G|--------------------------5-------

Then the pre-chorus

Then the chorus

I play the last E of the song (the last chord of the last chorus) as a
monster E--either 079990 (E major) or, better, 022450 (E5).

I didn't listen for the bass at all, except the intro...it probably
just follows the chords. Standard Sisters stuff, for the most
part. :-)
